Dedza Dynamos, a football club from Malawi, is delighted to announce the appointment of Andrew Bunya as their new head coach. According to the statement released by Dedza dynamos football club on their Facebook page,Bunya's appointment was confirmed by the club's Technical Director, Massa Kalamula, on Thursday.
Bunya, 44, takes over from the previous coach, Gilbert Chirwa, whose contract expired in December. Bunya is an experienced coach who had previously led Extreme FC to promotion to the Malawi Premier Division. He is also the head coach of the Dedza Youth select team under the Dedza district youth football committee. When asked about his appointment, Bunya said, "I am very excited to be joining Dedza Dynamos. They are a club with a lot of potential and fantastic people. I look forward to working with the team and helping them achieve their goals. I know the team has high standards and I am ready to meet those standards, "he said.Dedza Dynamos
Massa Kalamula, the Technical Director, said the decision to appoint Bunya was based on his understanding of the club's culture and values. "He is from Dedza and knows what we stand for as a club," said Kalamula. "We believe he is the right person to lead the team forward."
Dedza Dynamos will be looking to build on their success in the previous season, when they narrowly missed out on a place in the final of the FDH Bank Cup. They will be hoping to achieve even more in the coming season, with Bunya at the position.
