The Football Association of Malawi (FAM) has officially announced that the highly anticipated 2024 football season is set to commence on March 30th, 2024. This confirmation comes following the inaugural meeting of the newly elected FAM committee, which took place in Mangochi. During this meeting, the kickoff dates for the upcoming season were unanimously approved.

In a statement released by FAM ,Football Association of Malawi it was highlighted that, pending further discussions with key football stakeholders, the 2024 football season will kick off on April 6th, 2024. The season opener will be preceded by the NBS Charity Shield match on March 30th, 2024. This significant announcement sets the stage for an exciting start to the football season, with Nyasa Big Bullets scheduled to take on Silver Strikers FC in the NBS Charity Shield fixture.
As it stands, Nyasa Big Bullets, the quadruple winners, are the reigning champions defending the NBS Charity Shield title. This upcoming season promises to be filled with anticipation and excitement as teams prepare to compete for glory on the football field.
