Bangwe All Stars faced off against Mighty Mukuru Wanderers Fc in a tightly contested match at Mpira Stadium in Blantyre, which ended in a goalless draw. Wanderers, aiming for the top spot in the TNM Super League standings, were unable to find the back of the net despite their efforts, resulting in a shared point after 90 minutes of play.
Meanwhile, at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe, Kamuzu Barracks demonstrated their prowess with a 2-1 victory over Civo Sporting Club. KB asserted dominance early on, securing two goals in the first half courtesy of Olson Kanjira and Zeliat Nkhoma, the latter converting from a penalty kick. Although Civo Sporting Club managed to score a goal, their efforts were not enough to overturn the deficit.
In other league matches, Karonga United emerged victorious with a 3-1 win against Tigers, while Moyale and Dedza Dynamos played out a goalless draw.
On another front, Nyasa Big Bullets, the rivals of Nomads, clinched a remarkable 2-1 comeback victory against Baka FC. Despite trailing, Big Bullets rallied to secure all three points, setting the stage for an eagerly anticipated Blantyre derby in the upcoming weekend as they prepare to face their rivals with renewed confidence.
